Spanish A1, A2 and B1: choose your online learning pathway
A1, A2 and B1 are stages on the CEFR language scale. Use a placement activity and the course’s learning pathway to choose a practical starting point. KINTAVOR currently offers an A0 starter stage followed by A1, A2 and B1; its private certificate is not an official CEFR exam qualification.
A level label is a useful guide, but your skills may be uneven. You may understand a written exchange and still need more listening practice with the same language. Choose lessons by what you can do and what needs work.
What do the level labels mean?
The Council of Europe organises the main CEFR scale from A1 to C2 using descriptions of communicative ability. In broad terms, A1 and A2 cover basic use, while B1 is part of independent use. A0 is the starter label used in this course, rather than one of the six main CEFR levels.
These labels help organise learning; they do not mean that buying a course or completing a lesson proves a particular level. An official qualification has its own examination and assessment requirements.
Choose a starting point using evidence
Take the free placement test, then try a lesson at the suggested stage. Notice whether you can follow the explanation, understand the example and produce a short answer without copying it. Use that experience to decide whether to consolidate an earlier stage.
Review listening and spoken responses separately from reading. If one skill feels harder, revisit the related activities rather than moving ahead only because the written exercises are familiar.

What is included today?
The published course contains 20 starter lessons, 40 A1 lessons, 55 A2 lessons and 65 B1 lessons: 180 in total. Exercises, audio, review and assessments sit alongside the learning pathway. Paid access lasts twelve months.
B2 is in development. C1 and C2 are planned and are not part of the currently published lesson inventory. The public learning path shows these states so that you can decide using the offer available now.

Questions about the A1–B1 learning pathway
Does KINTAVOR award an official DELE qualification?
No. KINTAVOR provides private training and its own completion certificate. Official examinations are separate.
Are B2, C1 and C2 available now?
No. B2 is in development; C1 and C2 are planned. The published course currently covers A0–B1.
Does the placement test guarantee my CEFR level?
No. It suggests a starting point for this course. It is not an official proficiency examination.
How long will it take to reach B1?
There is no fixed outcome or deadline. Your starting level, practice, review and use of the language affect progress. The purchase gives twelve months of course access.
